I strongly believe in a therapeutically wholistic approach, which includes your mind, body, and spirit. In my clinical perspective, there is no one-size-fits-all; my process is tailored to your specific needs. You may be facing challenging circumstances that feel overwhelming to manage alone. Together, we can discover your natural ability to foster the change you seek. I believe you are the expert of your life and I honor that by providing a sacred space for you to process your thoughts and feelings.
More about me.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I hold a certificate in play therapy—predominantly using Child-Centered Play Therapy—and am actively working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). I primarily use a humanistic approach with Person-Centered Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) techniques, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). When working with families I utilize Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT). As an EMDR trained therapist, I use EMDR to explore and reprocess trauma related memories and the stories they tell.
I love working with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds with issues related to trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief. Acceptance, empathy, and respect, I believe, are the core values necessary when establishing a safe space to process the challenges you are experiencing. I understand that it may be hard for you to open up when there’s a history of trauma, mistrust, or damaged relationships however, together, we can discover your natural ability that fosters the change you seek.
