What is Child Parent Relationship Therapy

Child Parent Relationship Therapy involves parents and a therapist working together to strengthen the relationship between a parent and their child, through play.

Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) is a 10 session parent training program that teaches you how to listen and respond to what your child is feeling. You can learn how to create an accepting relationship with your child by having special 30-minute weekly play time sessions in which your child can feel safe to express themselves through their sacred language of Play.

How this helps your child

When you make your child the center of your universe during play time, your child’s self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-control increases. Special play time with your child fosters a safe, non-judgmental, and caring relationship, which helps them discover their own strengths and assume greater self-responsibility.
