In Child Centered Play Therapy a relationship is characterized by understanding and unconditional acceptance. The play process allows children to consider new possibilities which can expand their expression of a positive self.

Through the process and safety of play therapy, the unfamiliar becomes familiar, and children express outwardly through play what has taken place inwardly.

A significant factor in Child Centered Play Therapy is the changing of what may be unmanageable in reality to becoming manageable situations through symbolic play. This provides children opportunities for learning how to cope, self-regulate, feel secure, and build esteem. Individual sessions for children are 53 minutes and designed to work with your child at their own developmental level, using non-directive play therapy, expressive arts, sand tray, and EMDR.
